Job position: Category Manager (Cosmetic)
Department: Commercial
Location: Head Office, Tiranë
Summary of the position:
To carry out, define and implement the strategy for the relevant category; to optimize costs through effective negotiations with suppliers and ensure efficiency; to guarantee that the company has the right product at the right time in order to achieve sales and profitability.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Carry out market and competition analysis for the products of the category;
- Select and apply strategies for the relevant category based on the company's strategy;
- Manage product range – study product lines, identify new products, select and list suppliers;
- Control pricing – negotiate optimal product costs with suppliers to ensure competitive pricing in the market;
- Prepare and plan product placement and implementation on shelves;
- Coordinate promotional activities with suppliers, Marketing and Operations;
- Prepare budgets and business plans for the assigned category;
- Be responsible for category sales and profitability;
- Negotiate contract terms and develop supplier performance targets;
- Summarize contract terms and communicate them to Finance, Logistics, Marketing and other relevant departments;
- Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and act as key contact;
- Work with Sales to ensure product availability, delivery and resolve pricing or operational issues;
- Collaborate with Operations and Store Managers to update product assortment and store needs;
- Prepare and analyze reports to support sales performance and decision-making;
- Be responsible for all documentation and data related to the category;
- Cooperate with departments such as Marketing, Finance, HR, Logistics, Sales, IT and Expansion;
- Use internal systems efficiently.
Qualifications and Skills:
Education:
Possess a university degree, preferably in Business Administration and/or Marketing
Work Experience:
Have similar work experience in retail sales
Additional qualifications:
- Computer skills in Microsoft Office package;
- Good knowledge of English; a second language is an advantage (spoken and written).
